It’s a strange thing to do, having sex with animals that is, but weirdly enough it’s still legal to do so in a number of US states.
It was only this week that Ohio decided to outlaw the activity of having sex with animals, but there are still a number of other states that don’t prohibit it.
As well as Ohio, Hawaii, Kentucky, Nevada, New Mexico, Taxas, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming all lack the laws to prevent beastality.
The Ohio state Senate voted 31-0 in support of a bill…
According to WHIO the bill would offer the following statutes:
- Prohibit a person from engaging in sexual conduct with an animal and related acts;
- Provide for the seizure and impoundment of an animal that is subject of a violation;
- Authorise a sentencing court to require an offender to undergo psychological evaluation of counselling.
Senator Jim Hughes said: ‘I think this is something that is sickening and perverse and we don’t want Ohio to be the place you can come and have sex with an animal.’
The bill still needs to be finalised by the Ohio House of Representatives by the end of this week for it to become law by the end of the session.
